Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and develop strategy and procedures for data mart migration to new versions of database and operating system platforms
• Assist with the analysis and manage the dependencies of ongoing development projects
• Develop scripts and procedures for migrations, and migrate the data marts in Development and QA environments
• Author documents for the production implementation team, and provide support during rollout
• Tablespace creation
• Finalize physical data models and DDL deployment
• Manage permissions and any other security changes to leverage any new platform capabilities
• Review and revise the workload management approach to leverage any new platform capabilities
• Perform performance tuning and apply any necessary changes to database structures
• Support ETL Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts

Required Skills, Education, Knowledge and Experience

• Working knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO, RACF, Jobtrac and CICS
• Oracle
• Prior experience as a DB2 UDB EEE DBA on versions 8 or above
• Experience with IBM’s DB2 utilities & BMC’s Database Administration & Recovery Solutions
• Fluent in DB2 security, backup and recovery
• Experience with DB2 performance monitoring tools
• Fluent in DB2 SQL and SQL Stored Procedures
