Amazon Web Services (AWS)’s Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) takes away some of the stress and speeds up cloud migration by guiding organizations through the process and execution of a migration step by step, helping them make quick decisions that benefit their business. 

AWS and Adastra will apply their proven cloud migration approach, based on the knowledge and experience that comes with performing hundreds of cloud migrations, to deliver an accelerated digital transformation for clients to achieve their migration goals. 

The MAP Program helps organizations leverage best practices, including:

•    Developing cloud skills and addressing organizational gaps

The MAP program uses a three-phase framework to guide organizations through their cloud migration journeys. 

Phase 1: Assess Your Readiness 
The process begins with a workshop readiness assessment to evaluate organizations’ on-prem solutions and inventory, followed by a 4-6 week detailed assessment against the six pillars of the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework: business, people, governance, platform, security, and operations.

The outcome is: 
•    A gaps and cloud-readiness assessment
•    A thorough on-premises inventory assessment
•    A cloud migration roadmap and implementation plan 
•    A multi-year cost projection for migrating to AWS
•    Right-size recommendations for migration/modernization by application

Adastra and AWS will also work with organizations to create a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model containing a personalized cost-savings analysis to create business justification for the migration. 

Phase 2: Mobilize Your Resources
Phase 2 helps organizations build a plan to address and fix the gaps identified in phase 1 to ensure cloud migration readiness. 

Phase 3: Migrate and Modernize Your Workloads 
In the final Migrate and Modernize phase, Adastra will follow the implementation plan and roadmap created following the assessment to deploy the large-scale migration to AWS.
